Has anyone else been following the updates about Charles Johnson's case? I recently read about the family's civil rights lawsuit, and I feel deeply for them as they seek justice. It seems like this tragedy could have been prevented with better training and oversight at the jail. The footage of what happened to him is so distressing. The lack of immediate medical attention is just baffling to me. How could this happen in this day and age? I truly hope the DOJ steps in and holds those responsible accountable. His story is a painful reminder of the systemic issues within our correctional facilities. My thoughts are with his family; they deserve answers and change. How do you all think this will impact future jail policies?
