Did anyone ever look deeper into those sightings of Obie Carrington around East Austin in the late '80s? I remember reading somewhere that several people claimed to have seen him at a few local spots even years after he went missing. It's wild to think how someone could just vanish without a trace, but somehow still be "seen" around town. Were these genuine sightings or just cases of mistaken identity? It makes you wonder if there might have been more to it or if someone helped him disappear. Would love to hear if anyone has more info or theories about this aspect of the case.
