Has anyone else ever wondered about the delay in the initial search for Luke Tredway? I know it was the 80s, so procedures were different, but it still baffles me that the authorities took several hours to start looking for him after his mother reported him missing. If they'd started sooner, could there have been a different outcome? I get frustrated thinking about that lost time, especially considering how vital the first few hours are in missing person cases. Maybe someone from the area might know more about why there was a delay. Were there other cases in Portland around that time that might have impacted their response?

Has anyone else been bothered by the fact that Luke's body was never found, even after Wright's confession? Considering how much effort they put into searching the area around Mount Hood, it's unsettling that nothing turned up. It makes me wonder if Wright was telling the whole truth or if he was trying to mess with people's minds before his execution. Has anyone considered the possibility that he buried Luke somewhere else entirely? I can't help but feel for his family, especially not having any closure after all these years. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this.

I've been digging into old missing persons cases, and the story of Luke Aaron Tredway has been on my mind lately. What really strikes me is the fact that despite the detailed confession by Douglas Franklin Wright, Luke's remains have never been found. I can't help but wonder if there might be other places that should have been searched. It seems like so much hinges on Wright's word, but given his notoriety, is it possible he might have left out details or intentionally misled authorities? Mount Hood is vast, and there are countless hidden spots. It makes you question how many potential grave sites might still be out there, undiscovered and holding answers. What do you guys think? Could there still be other clues we're missing?
