Does anyone else find the lack of immediate release of the surveillance footage troubling? I totally understand it's an ongoing investigation, but transparency could really help ease some of the public's concerns about how the event unfolded. I can't begin to imagine what Veronica and her family are going through right now. Losing a child in such a violent way must be beyond comprehension. I just hope the investigation is thorough and that the family is getting the support they need, both emotionally and legally. While I know the officers involved are on administrative leave, it would be reassuring for the community if the footage could confirm the sequence of events. Sending all my sympathy and strength to Elijah’s family. It's unimaginable, and my heart goes out to them.

I came across an aspect of this case that’s been weighing heavily on my mind. I can’t stop thinking about the community’s incredible response to Veronica and her family after such an unimaginable tragedy. It’s a testament to the resilience and kindness of people when they come together in times of need. The fact that community members have rallied around to support Elijah’s family through donations and emotional support shows how deeply his death touched everyone, even those who didn’t know him personally. It’s heartwarming to see people trying to ease the burden, at least in some small way, by helping out with funeral expenses through the GoFundMe campaign. But it also makes me wonder, are there more effective ways we can support families affected by domestic violence before it results in something so tragic? How do we ensure that no other innocent lives are lost in similar circumstances? I hope this case prompts more discussions around preventive support for at-risk families so we can help keep them safe. None of this will bring Elijah back, but supporting each other might prevent future heartbreak. My heart goes out to Elijah’s family, and I hope they get the justice and peace they deserve.
