Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the people closest to Bennie Lee Nolley and how incredibly tough this must be for them. It's clear that Bennie had a network of family and friends who cared deeply for him, as seen by the celebration of his life at Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church. It's tragic when someone leaves us, especially under unclear circumstances, and even more so when the case doesn't seem to receive the attention it perhaps deserves. I'm curious about the case that was filed against Bennie back in 2016. The initial charges of evading arrest or detention sound serious, yet it was dismissed in just a few months. Does anyone know how common it is for something like that to happen? I wonder if this legal issue might have played a role in his life leading up to his passing. Also, is there any possibility that the lack of coverage on his death has something to do with systemic issues? It feels like there should have been more media spotlight or investigative effort considering his involvement in a past legal case. Would love to hear your thoughts and insights. Keeping Bennie and his loved ones in my thoughts.
