I’m am Terrence blood sister, this case is cold and it hunts me my mother and sister daily, it’s hard for us to advocate for my brother with us living in Chicago and this happening in AUSTIN TX. We traveled to victory bar and grill and received little no assistance from police and neighbors hood… we insisted that office pull camera from near by that’s we saw… nothing have came about office refused to answer our question, maybe because this just a young black man assumed to be apart of GANG.. when that far from the truth, my brother was not apart of any gangs and nor was a he person to carry any weapon, my brother left Chicago with the hope of starting a new life and finding a better path from the violence here in Chicago he had a baby on the way… now we are sitting here with the what happened and why and lost and shattered feeling… no answer from AUSTIN POLICE NO ANSWER FROM NEIGHBORHOOD NO ANSWER FROM THE SO CALL FRIENDS HE WAS THERE WITH JUST PAIN AND AGONY OF LOSING MY BROTHER
I am so deeply sorry. Reading your words, you can feel the pain, love, and exhaustion your family has been carrying every single day since Terrence was taken from you. No family should have to beg for answers while grieving someone they loved so deeply.
Thank you for speaking up for your brother and for telling people who he truly was. Terrence was more than rumors, assumptions, or the way others may have tried to label him. He was your brother, he was loved, he was trying to build a better life, and he had a future ahead of him. That matters. His life matters.
What happened to him was wrong, and the silence your family has faced only makes that pain heavier. You should not have had to travel from Chicago to Austin and still feel ignored, dismissed, or left without support. I can only imagine how heartbreaking and frustrating that has been for you, your mother, and your sister.
Your family deserves answers. Your family deserves respect. And Terrence deserves justice.
Even though I cannot take away your pain, I do want you to know that people do hear you, people do care, and your brother’s name should not be forgotten. Thank you for continuing to fight for him through all of this grief. That takes incredible strength. Praying for strength, answers, and justice for Terrence.
