I keep thinking about that surveillance footage from the night Mario Castillo was shot. It's haunting to imagine those last moments, especially when you piece them together with the deep camaraderie between him and Saunders before things took a dark turn. Mario’s friends and family must be grappling not only with his loss but also with the reality of the whole situation. I find it puzzling that something as simple as retrieving a hat could precede such a tragedy. Was there a way to defuse the tension before it escalated? My heart truly goes out to Mario's loved ones who have to live with these unanswered questions. I hope they find some peace knowing the jury saw through the self-defense claim and delivered a verdict that acknowledges the gravity of the situation.
