Has anyone been looking into the policies of the bar on Lyons Avenue where Cruz Antonio Perez was killed? It got me thinking about what measures bars and similar establishments can take to prevent fights from escalating like this. It’s such a terrible loss for his family and friends, and I can’t imagine what they must be going through. I understand bars can be busy and chaotic, but it makes you wonder if there needs to be better training for staff on how to handle these situations before they spiral out of control. Just seems like there were probably so many missed opportunities to de-escalate before it turned into a tragedy. What do others think about improved safety measures in nightlife areas?
