Did anyone else find it odd that Zamar Kirven's legal team tried to pin the blame on his cousin, Kevin Kirven, during the trial? I've been following this case closely and understand the defense's need to create reasonable doubt, but the evidence against Zamar was pretty overwhelming with the DNA and all. It just seems baffling—and, to be honest, really unfair to Kevin—to try and implicate him without solid proof. I can't imagine how difficult and confusing this all must be for Kevin, having his name dragged through the mud over the brutal loss of his friends. It's distressing when you think about how far-reaching the impacts of this tragedy are. The whole community has been through so much already and to have this kind of additional strain on the Kirven family is just wrenching. Anyone have thoughts on the defense's strategy here, or maybe some insights into whether there was even a shred of evidence linking Kevin? Just trying to wrap my head around how they approached this.
