Has anyone else looked into the connection between Timothy Keays and the ponds they searched back in '93? I'm wondering if there was any local chatter around that time suggesting why those ponds were specifically targeted. It seems odd that they would focus on a location like that without some pretty solid intel. I know it’s been decades, but local rumors or stories can sometimes hold bits of truth. If anybody from Ashland or Talent remembers anything about that search or has family who might've heard something, it could be worth sharing! Every little detail might help put the pieces together or bring new attention to his case.
I came across the Timothy Lee Keays case while researching unsolved disappearances, and something really stands out to me about the timing around when he went missing. June 27, 1989, was reportedly the last time he was seen at the college campus. It's been bugging me because it seems like such a public place, and yet there weren't enough leads to uncover where he went. Did anyone in the area at that time recall seeing anything out of the ordinary, or were there any campus events or gatherings happening that day that might have distracted people who could've seen something? I'm wondering if there could’ve been any missed witnesses who might have crucial info, even if they don’t realize it. Would love to hear any thoughts, especially from locals or former students from that time period!
