I’ve been following the case of Holly Marlene Midkiff Beverly and her son, Titus, with a heavy heart. I wanted to take a moment to talk about Holly's incredible dedication to her students at Hope Works Christian Academy. It’s clear from everything I’ve read that she wasn’t just a teacher; she was a real beacon of support and encouragement for so many children. Those of us who are teachers, or know someone who is, understand the profound impact that a devoted educator can have on young lives. Holly seemed like she poured her heart and soul into her work. It’s deeply saddening to think of her students who are now missing the warmth and care she provided every day. My heart goes out to the two children who lived through that horrific night and to her entire family. Holly's influence will continue within her community. Even though the situation is devastating beyond words, the support from those around her speaks volumes about the kind of person she was. I hope in the coming days that her family and loved ones find some peace and answers.

I’ve been following Holly Midkiff Beverly’s case, and I keep thinking about her role as a teacher. By all accounts, she seemed to really go above and beyond for her students at Hope Works Christian Academy. Teachers like Holly often become another pillar of support for kids, and I can only imagine the impact her loss has had on her students. They must be struggling to process the lack of her presence in the classroom. My thoughts are with them—as well as the loved ones left behind who have to navigate the world without her vibrant spirit. It's so deeply unjust that her passion for teaching and her dedication to nurturing young minds was taken away so brutally. I hope her school community finds solace and a way to honor her memory.
