It's been over eight years since Terrence Elliott Perkins was taken from his loved ones, and I can't stop thinking about how senseless this all is. The Columbus Square area, where the shooting happened right on Tucker Boulevard, is relatively bustling, which makes me wonder about potential witnesses. It's unimaginable to think that someone might have seen something and hasn't come forward. I understand the fear and hesitance in speaking up, but our silence might mean justice is forever delayed for Terrence and his family. I really appreciate the efforts of organizations like the Neighborhood Healing Network and the Crime Victim Center. They’re doing incredible work to help victims and their families through these horrific times. But it's gut-wrenching to think that cases like Terrence's remain unresolved. It's a testimony to the larger issue of gun violence in St. Louis that year, and even now. Anyone reading this, if you were around the 1100 block of Tucker that evening or if there’s something you remember, however small it might seem, please say something. The community needs healing, and part of that healing is bringing those responsible to light. I can only hope that with continued pressure and support, we can finally give Terrence’s family the answers they deserve. Stay safe, everyone.

I was reading about the tragic loss of Terrence Elliott Perkins, and my heart goes out to his family. The fact that this happened in such a busy area like Tucker Boulevard is chilling. I've been in that area plenty of times, and it makes me wonder how much the community actually saw or heard but might be too scared to speak up. The fear of retaliation is real and understandable, but I hope that people who were there find the courage to share what they know. It's so crucial, not just for justice for Terrence, but for the overall safety and healing of the neighborhood. It's frustrating to see so many cases like this slipping through the cracks. I really commend the local organizations that are stepping up, but it feels like there's still so much work to do. If anyone from St. Louis is here, how do you feel about the measures being taken? Do you think enough is being done, or what more could be implemented to support those affected by these tragedies?

I can't stop thinking about how Terrence's murder has impacted the people around him, especially in the Columbus Square neighborhood. I drive through that area occasionally, and it's unsettling to think about the violence that happened there on Tucker Boulevard. It’s a busy area, tons of people passing through, and yet no clear leads on who did this. The fact that the other victim was seriously injured and survived, I can’t imagine the trauma they’re living with every day. It’s encouraging to see organizations like the Neighborhood Healing Network and the Crime Victim Center stepping up, but it's frustrating that despite their efforts, Terrence’s case and many others remain unsolved. If anyone has information, even if it's just something small, coming forward could make a huge difference. I hope more community members can gather the courage to share anything they know. Terrence's family deserves answers and some measure of peace. They’ve endured an unimaginable loss, and I truly hope justice is served for them.
