I’ve been following the case of Layla Steele, and one thing that stands out to me is the heartbreaking fact that her protective order against Gaston was dismissed. How is it that someone with his history could have that protection taken away? It just underscores the importance of taking these orders seriously. There needs to be a better system in place to ensure the safety of those who are in such vulnerable situations. I hope Layla’s story brings about real change so that others won’t have to go through the same ordeal. Sending love to Layla’s family, especially little Zeus. It’s crucial that justice is served and that Layla's voice echoes in the push for reform.

I've been following the Layla Steele case, and it just leaves me with so many questions. What really bothers me is how Gaston could have been out on seven felony bonds with an ankle monitor. How did the system deem him low-risk enough to be out and about, especially knowing Layla had a protective order that got dismissed? It's chilling to think about how the justice system missed multiple chances to possibly prevent this tragedy. Layla did everything right by seeking protection, and yet, it wasn't enough. My heart goes out to her family and little Zeus. No child should ever have to start their life this way. I really hope this case brings serious attention to bond reform and can spark some actual change, so no one else falls through the cracks like Layla did. Stay strong!
