I've been following the David Louis Shand case and something that's been puzzling me is why it took over two decades for law enforcement to be notified of his disappearance. I mean, David went missing after an argument with his family, and nobody reported it until 2013? It seems so unusual. Was there ever any official reason given for this delay? It really makes me wonder if there was fear or some kind of coercion involved that kept the family silent for so long. Also, does anyone know if the family went looking for him themselves during those years, or if they just assumed he'd left voluntarily? This whole situation is just baffling. Would love to hear what theories or info others might have!
It’s so unsettling to think about how David Shand’s disappearance went unnoticed for over 20 years. How could someone just vanish without anyone realizing? And then, in 2013, his wife gets charged with obstruction of justice? That seems like a significant lead, but unfortunately, it looks like it didn’t get the case any closer to being solved. There are still so many questions. Did Phyllis know something that she wasn’t telling, or was she caught up in something herself? And why didn’t anyone report David as missing for so long? It's all so baffling. I wonder if any neighbors or people close to them back then might have noticed anything unusual around that time. Hopefully, someone will come forward with new information to finally bring some closure to this mystery.
I stumbled upon David Louis Shand’s case while diving through missing persons forums, and something that really puzzles me is the delay in alerting authorities. How does someone go unnoticed as missing for over two decades?! It makes me wonder what his life was like on Johns Island and if there were signs of his disappearance that were missed or ignored by those around him. Also, does anyone have more details on the family altercation or why his wife, Phyllis, was charged with obstruction of justice? It’s baffling that there’s so little movement on the case despite these connections. If anyone has insight or theories, I'd love to hear them. Maybe we can piece together something that could help reignite focus on this case.
