I’ve been thinking a lot about the safety concerns people raised around that strip center on Richmond Avenue, especially given what happened to Asia Shields. I wonder if anyone else here has experienced similar issues in their neighborhoods? It’s like the community voices just weren’t enough to prevent this senseless loss. My heart goes out to Asia’s family and friends—I can only imagine the frustration knowing that their concerns might have fallen on deaf ears. It's a reminder of how crucial it is for authorities to take community safety seriously. I hope this tragedy brings about some real change, not just in Houston but elsewhere too. Stay safe, everyone.
