Hey everyone, I’ve been diving deep into the Mark Hamilton Smith case lately, and something struck me as unusual. Given that Mark was last seen at his father Claude's house in Springfield, I wonder why there wasn't more focus on Claude's passing so soon after Mark vanished. It seems like quite a coincidence, don’t you think? Was Claude’s death ever investigated in connection with Mark’s disappearance? I haven’t come across any records indicating that. Also, considering that this happened in 1992, I wonder if any potential witnesses or acquaintances have been overlooked or if anyone from the neighborhood ever came forward with information about either event. If anyone knows more about how Claude’s death was treated by the authorities, especially in relation to Mark’s case, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
