I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the impact Vanessa's passing has had on the children. For them to lose their mother in such a traumatic way and then see their father taken away — it's unimaginable. I've read that they've been staying with relatives for the time being, but I can't help but worry about their emotional wellbeing in the long run.
Does anyone know if there has been any kind of community support set up specifically for the kids? Given Vanessa's active role at Spicewood Elementary, it wouldn't surprise me if the school or local organizations have rallied to provide some counseling or support services for them.
