Hey everyone. I can't stop thinking about how challenging it must have been for the Benys family to sit through every moment of Alfredo Deleon's trial, knowing what Sherman went through. I admire Vicki's strength so much. It takes immense courage to face the person responsible for taking a loved one away, and even more to speak out about it. I wonder how the kids are coping as well. Losing a parent is unimaginable, and to go through it so publicly must be overwhelming. From what I've read, Sherman's legacy is one of compassion and bravery, which I hope provides them some comfort. Understanding the continued risks first responders face is crucial. This case is a stark reminder of that fact. I hope more people support initiatives that protect those who risk their lives every day. My thoughts are with the Benys family and all those affected by this tragedy.
