Hey everyone, I find it really hard to wrap my mind around the sheer violence that took place at J.P. Shawver Park. I was reading more about the suspects and was struck by Miguel Angel Marin’s age—just 17. It's chilling to think someone so young could be involved in something so horrendous. It makes me wonder what could have possibly led him down this path. It's terrifying to think about and must be devastating for Steven's family to know that the person responsible isn’t much older than Steven himself. I hope the other suspects are held accountable too, and that the community can somehow heal from such a senseless act. Sending love and strength to everyone affected, and hoping for justice in this heartbreaking situation.

Has anyone else been following the updates on the Steven Lopez case? I was just thinking about how incredibly brave that 14-year-old girl is. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma she's experienced, losing friends in such a shocking way and surviving an attack like this. I hope she is getting all the support she needs from family, friends, and professionals. It's also noteworthy how the El Paso community and law enforcement have rallied together to pursue justice. The teamwork between different agencies in arresting the suspects is admirable, but it must be tough for those who knew Steven to wait for the trials of De La Rosa and Rodriguez. As someone who is just learning about this case, I feel for everyone involved and hope they find some form of peace and closure moving forward. If anyone has more insights or updates, please keep me posted!
