I hope she's surrounded by love and support from her extended family. It's crucial that she grows up knowing that her parents' tragic end doesn't define who they were or the love they had for her. I’ve been keeping up with the tragedy involving Gavino Daniel Rios and Joanne Sandoval. My heart truly goes out to their young daughter who has to grow up without her parents. I’ve been reading about how neighbors often heard them fighting. It really makes you think about how important it is to recognize the signs of domestic strife. It seems easy to dismiss loud arguments as just another bad day in anyone’s relationship, but maybe there were opportunities for intervention that were missed.
