I can't stop thinking about the tragic loss of Enrique Bocanegra. It’s haunting to imagine just how quickly life changed for him and those who loved him. I read that he was well-known and loved in his neighborhood, often seen at the local convenience store—just part of the regular rhythm of life for so many people who ran into him there. It's deeply saddening how a series of reckless choices led to this incident, costing an innocent man his life. I hope the community finds some way to heal, and that justice will be served for Enrique and the young boy, Christopher. My thoughts go out to their families who are undoubtedly facing unimaginable pain. Let’s hope this awful situation prompts some real conversations about making our neighborhoods safer.
