I've been following the Terry Lamont Evans case, and it got me thinking about the broader issue of gun violence in St. Louis. It's so distressing to see how firearms play a role in so many homicides. Terry's passing is not just another statistic; it's a reminder of the impact this violence has on families and communities. I can't imagine the pain Terry's loved ones are going through. The city saw 174 firearm-related homicides in 2016, and it's clear these weapons devastate lives. I really hope the discussions around tighter regulations and community safety lead to meaningful changes because we can't keep losing people like Terry. Sharing these thoughts in hopes of bringing more attention to this crucial issue.
