Does anyone else find it really strange that there's so little information about Roger Michael Borowiak’s movements before he went missing? With most missing persons cases from that era, it seems like there's usually at least some background on where they were last seen or who they were with. But with Roger, it seems like he just vanished into thin air. I've been digging into local news archives, and it’s almost like there was nothing significant happening in Mankato around that time that might account for his disappearance. Maybe there's someone out there who remembers something about what the town was like back then? Even the smallest detail might shed some light on what happened.
I was going through old case files, and Roger Michael Borowiak's disappearance caught my eye. There's so little to go on, but something that always puzzles me about cases like his is the lack of digital footprints. Given that it was 1995, the digital world wasn't quite what it is today, but still, no traces in any form—financial, communication, nothing—feels strange to me.
Was there any chance he could have had a secondary life or identity? Maybe something he kept offline and away from bank records? Without social media back then, it'd be hard to track, but there might’ve been some paper trails? It's just baffling how someone can vanish into thin air. Anyone else think there might be something along those lines?
Has anyone looked into the idea that Roger might have left voluntarily? I know it's a sensitive topic, especially with his family still searching for answers, but I've always wondered about the possibility that he wanted to start over somewhere new. I grew up around Mankato, and back in the '90s, it wasn't the easiest place if you wanted to make a big life change.
It just seems strange that there were no leads, no financial activity, and no sightings. It could point to someone planning their departure. Of course, I'm not saying this happened, but it's a theory I think deserves some thought, especially for those of us trying to piece together what might have happened. Does anyone else see this as a feasible option, or is there evidence I’m missing that rules it out?
