I'm sitting here thinking about Uziyah and my heart goes out to his parents, Sergio and Mandy, and the rest of his family. Just read something about his stepmother, Crystal, and his siblings, Desiyah and Mykah. It's hard not to get caught up in their pain. Losing a child is something that no parent should ever have to endure, and their openness in grieving is a testament to their strength. It's been incredible to see how the Uvalde community and others are standing with them and calling for meaningful change. Uziyah's love for video games and sports reminds me so much of my own little brother, and I can't help but think that every child deserves to enjoy those simple joys of life without fear. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight, folks.
