Has anyone else been following the updates on the Jose Cruz Jr. case? It's been so hard to read about the details of what happened. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through right now. I saw that there's a lot of debate about whether this was truly a case of self-defense as Briaham Pena claims. Given the evidence that's come out so far, it's tough to see how that lines up. It's really clear that Jose was dearly loved by those around him, and he seemed like such a bright light to everyone who met him.
The community support for his family has been incredible, and seeing people come together like this restores a bit of faith in humanity during such a dark time. But we should keep pushing for answers and ensure every angle of this case is thoroughly examined. I really hope they find the justice they're seeking. It's the least Jose and his family deserve.
