It's so baffling to think about the number of missing person cases that just go cold and remain unsolved for decades. I've recently been reading up on the case of the Quinonez brothers, Julien and Vicene, who vanished back in 1996 while trying to cross into the U.S. at the Lukeville border. What strikes me the most is the apparent lack of leads despite their last known actions on that day. It's almost like they just disappeared off the face of the earth. Does anyone know if there were any sightings or tips that turned out to be dead ends? The desert in that area can be brutal, and I'm left wondering if environmental factors complicated the search efforts... Any insights or thoughts on similar cases?
