Has anyone else looked into the places Gary Poole might have frequented before he vanished? I read that he was known to visit local parks and some coffee shops in the Ontario area. If his mental health was deteriorating, these might have been places where he felt at ease or sought solace. It makes me wonder if any patrons or employees from those spots ever recognized him or noticed any erratic behavior around the time of his disappearance. Even small bits of information could help piece together what was going on with him back then. If anyone from that area remembers anything or has connections to someone who might, it could be worth revisiting! Thoughts?

Hi everyone, I just stumbled across Gary David Poole's case, and my mind keeps circling back to something. How can someone just leave everything behind like that—money, ID, personal belongings—and vanish without a trace? Given Poole's situation, that he might be living without awareness of who he is, makes me wonder if outreach to shelters and organizations focused on helping people dealing with mental health crises could yield some new clues. It’s possible he’s out there, but his mental state might prevent him from reaching out for help or remembering who he is. I feel like this angle might offer some hope, even after all these years. Does anyone know if there are ongoing efforts in this direction? Maybe it's something we can suggest to the investigators or family?

Has anyone ever looked into the possibility that Gary Poole might have had a connection with local shelters or food banks before he vanished? Given the speculation that he might be living as a homeless person, it seems like these would have been natural places for him to seek help, especially if he was having a mental health crisis. I've read elsewhere how sometimes missing persons turn up getting meals or support from community resources without disclosing their identities. I wonder if any of the shelters in Ontario or nearby areas keep records that might match his description, even if they didn't have a name? It might be worth checking if anyone can access those resources or if they have shared information about unidentified individuals they were helping back then. This could be a long shot, but you never know with these mysterious cases.
