I recently heard about the tragic incident at Big T Plaza and can't stop thinking about the effect it's had on the local community. I've been reading through stories and updates, and I saw that Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn King Arnold is really pushing for the community to unite with local authorities to restore safety and confidence. I truly feel for everyone involved, especially Corderro Robinson's family and friends—having to cope with such a sudden and senseless loss must be incredibly difficult. It's reassuring to hear that they're planning on boosting security, but I can't help but wonder if this will be enough to make everyone feel safe again. The fear that shop owners are expressing is understandable, and I hope the additional measures offer some comfort. It’s such a sad reminder of the challenges we face with gun violence and the impact it can have on a community. If anyone has updates on how business owners and shoppers are responding to the new security measures or about community meetings, I’d be interested to hear about them. Also, sending thoughts to everyone affected—all we can do is hope for a future where such tragedies are less common.
