I've been following the case of Marc DeWayne Boyd Jr. and the others who lost their lives last year, and it's hard to wrap my head around such loss. It really makes you think about the fragility of life and how quickly it can change due to senseless violence. Marc seemed like he had such a bright future ahead with his dreams of opening a barbershop and becoming a dad. I can't even imagine how difficult this must be for his family, especially with his son growing up without him. I find it so unsettling that the suspect is still out there. We're a year on, and the community deserves answers and justice. I hope the Fort Worth Police Department can get some leads soon, and perhaps if anyone knows something, they might feel compelled to come forward—it's the only way these families can get some peace. It's times like these that really test a community, and from what I've read, it sounds like they’ve been sticking together, which is truly commendable. These situations can’t keep happening. We must work harder at finding solutions to prevent another tragedy like this in the future. Sending my thoughts to Marc’s family and everyone else affected by this tragedy.
