Hey everyone, I've been following Jeannie Roberta Chavez's case, and something's been on my mind. I was looking into the route from Wilmington, CA to Sitka, AK, and noticed it's a pretty treacherous path, especially during November. Weather conditions could've played a significant role. I can't help but wonder if Jeannie and Herold might've changed course to avoid a storm, getting them way off the intended path. Does anyone know if there were any significant weather events reported along that route back then? Would love to hear thoughts on how this might have affected their journey or any other details anyone might have. ??
