I've been following the Sheldon Polk case closely, and it's truly devastating to think about how one night can change so many lives forever. I can't imagine the grief his family is going through, especially with the holiday season having just passed when this happened.
The thing that’s puzzling me is Narvaez's self-defense claim. It's hard to wrap my head around how a disagreement between two strangers could escalate to such deadly violence. It makes you wonder what led up to the shooting and why Narvaez perceived such a threat.
18 is such a young age to throw your life away in such a way, and yet here we are, mourning the loss of Sheldon, who should still be with us, and trying to understand what happened while also figuring out how to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
