I've been following the tragic events surrounding Decamren Sims and Anjaya Saddler, and one thing that has been on my mind is the role Decamren played in the incident. It seems he was trying to protect his brother, Deondrick, and a female friend when everything went down, which just breaks my heart. I think it really shows his character and bravery. This kind of bravery in such a terrifying situation is something that should never be necessary, and yet he rose to the occasion. It's just so unfair that his courageous act ended in such a tragedy. My thoughts are with his family, who must be incredibly proud of him, but also dealing with an unimaginable loss. I hope justice is fully served for Anjaya and Decamren and that their families find some peace eventually. Anyone else feel that we can never truly thank or appreciate enough the brave souls who stand up in the face of danger?
