Has anyone looked into the history of Officer Grat Walk before the incident? It's so troubling to think that animosity could escalate to such a tragic event. I'm curious if there were any warning signs in his past behavior or interactions with other officers. It's important to remember that these situations don't happen out of thin air. It's been over a century, but understanding the dynamics between these two men could shed some light on why things took such a heartbreaking turn. My thoughts are with Patrolman Childress's family and those who continue to honor his memory.
