Has anyone else been struck by the circumstances surrounding how the suspect managed to ambush Officers Henry and Purdy after being released on bail? It's incredibly concerning to think about how vulnerable they were despite having just done their duty that day by arresting someone who posed a threat to public order. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and sense of injustice in knowing someone you put behind bars could come back with such malicious intent. It underlines the sobering reality of law enforcement's challenges and the constant vigilance required. My heart goes out to the families who not only lost their loved ones but also had to grapple with the idea that this tragedy could have been avoided. Officers like Henry truly put their lives on the line daily, and moments like these remind us how deeply they deserve our gratitude and support.
