I wanted to talk about the complex issue of mental health and its role in the Shelbyville tragedy. It's so distressing to see how Daryl Holton's untreated mental health issues could lead to something so unimaginable. As a community, we need to emphasize the significance of mental health care, especially for our veterans who sacrifice so much. It's a reminder of how crucial it is for people to seek help and for systems to be in place to support them adequately. My heart goes out to Kayla, Stephen, Brent, and Eric, as well as their mother, Crystal. If there could be any positive outcome, let it be a stronger focus on mental health support to prevent such tragedies in the future.
