On November 30, 1997, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, four-year-old Kayla Marie Holton was tragically shot and killed by her stepfather, Daryl Keith Holton. Kayla was a young girl of Caucasian ethnicity. The incident occurred at an auto repair shop where Daryl Holton worked. Holton, a Gulf War veteran, also killed his three other children: Stephen Edward Holton , Brent Holton , and Eric Holton .
