Do you guys think there's a connection between the rise in violent crime during 2016 in Kansas City and the lack of progress in solving cases like Cortney Setile’s? I’ve been following the news and noticed that there seems to be a pattern of unsolved cases from that period. It's so frustrating and must be incredibly difficult for the families who are left without answers.
It's almost like there's a missing piece of the puzzle that hasn't been found yet. I wonder if there are any particular challenges the police are facing that we aren't aware of. Maybe there’s something systemic that needs addressing to help them solve these cases? If only more people who might know something felt comfortable coming forward—perhaps then we could start to see some justice and peace for victims like Cortney. Thoughts on what might be hindering the investigations from progressing?
I recently came across Cortney Setile's case, and it's truly mind-boggling how such a young life could be taken away with no resolution in sight. It must be unbearable for her family to endure this uncertainty for so long. I was reading about the rise in violent crimes around Kansas City back in 2016, and it's chilling to think how many other families are in a similar position. It makes me wonder if there’s a connection between these cases that hasn’t been uncovered yet.
Has anyone here heard any updates or rumors about possible suspects or any new leads? I know sometimes even the smallest piece of information can make a difference. It's incredibly frustrating not to see progress, but at the same time, I hope this community can come together and help in some way. Crime Stoppers offering that $25,000 reward is a ray of hope, but it only works if someone steps forward. Sending strength to Cortney's family—I can't even begin to imagine their pain.
Has anyone else looked into the connection between Cortney Setile’s case and the surge of violent crimes in Kansas City during 2016? It’s so troubling that we’re seeing such a rise in unsolved homicides from that year, and it feels like so many families are left waiting for answers. Despite the reward being offered, it's frustrating that no arrests have been made yet. I'm hoping someone in the community might remember something, even a small detail, that seems insignificant but could help the investigation. It's just so sad to think about what Cortney's family must be going through not having closure. If anyone has theories on what more could be done to push these cold cases forward, I'd love to hear them.
