Antonio Williams Jr. was 22 when he was shot and killed in the early morning of November 15, 2016, during an altercation at a Phillips 66 convenience store at Bannister Road and Drury Avenue in south Kansas City. Police arrived about 12:45 a.m. and found a wrecked vehicle in the 9600 block of Drury Avenue with Williams and another man inside, both suffering gunshot wounds. Emergency services took them to a hospital where Antonio Williams Jr. was pronounced dead; the other victim was seriously wounded. A witness reported a silver vehicle leaving the scene shortly after the shooting.
Investigators focused on a group identified as the Deion group or gang, an effort led by the Kansas City No Violence Alliance that produced a broader enforcement action and multiple arrests. In March 2017 authorities charged William M. Enloe, 20, with Murder in the Second Degree, assault, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action; his bond was set at $100,000 cash. Was anyone in the area that night near Bannister and Drury who can add details about what happened or the silver vehicle?
