I can't stop thinking about the impact of Juan Boyd's tragic passing on his young daughter, Ja’Karia A’Monique Strickland. She must now navigate life without her father, and it breaks my heart to think about the challenges she might face growing up. The whole community knew Juan as someone with incredible leadership skills and a real passion for music, and it’s clear that he had so much to offer, especially to his daughter. I hope she is surrounded by love and support from family and friends who can carry on Juan's legacy and remind Ja’Karia of the kind of person her father was. It's moments like these that remind us of the rippling effects violence can have on innocent lives, especially those who are left behind. My thoughts go out to Ja’Karia and Juan's entire family during this difficult journey.
