I was thinking about Saad's children when I read through some more details of the case. It’s incredibly tough to imagine what they’ve had to go through — losing their dad in such a senseless act of violence. It stood out to me that Saad, being a well-known tire shop owner, was probably targeted because these criminals assumed he had cash on him. It just makes it more despicable that they would look at him and only see dollar signs instead of a person with a family. This has to be so hard for Ashley and the kids, coping with the loss and the ongoing legal process. I hope they have a strong support system around them, helping them navigate through this dark time. Wishing them all the strength in the world. If anyone is local to Memphis, have there been any community efforts to support the family or honor Saad’s memory?
