I’ve been thinking a lot about how the community and law enforcement can work together more effectively, especially when cases like Robert Lavelle Dell's remain unsolved. It's frustrating and disheartening for the families who are left searching for answers. I wonder if improved community-police relationships could help solve more of these cases. Trust seems to be a major issue, and while programs like Ceasefire aim to address this, the execution often falls short. Has anyone here witnessed concrete ways trust has been built in similar contexts? Maybe there's a way to bring those successes to Oakland. My heart goes out to Robert’s family—hoping they find the justice they deserve soon.
