I’ve been following Kenneth Harris's case, and one thing that stands out to me is the community reaction after the verdict. I can't imagine how tough it must be for Kenneth's family, dealing with the loss and then hearing the not-guilty verdict. It's always hard to digest a decision like that, especially when someone so innocent was caught in the chaos. Has anyone here had any experience with cases involving bystanders who become victims? How do communities usually support families in situations like this? It must be such a challenging road for them, seeking justice and also finding peace. Thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved Kenneth. ?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading about Kenneth Harris’s case, and something that sticks with me is why Tony Carl Bristol felt the need to bring a gun to work that night. I understand he mentioned his trailer being shot up a few weeks prior, but it makes me wonder about the sense of security (or lack thereof) people have in their daily lives. Bringing a firearm to a place that's supposed to be about fun and community feels so extreme, but perhaps it speaks to a larger issue surrounding safety concerns. My heart really goes out to Kenneth’s family. To lose someone simply because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time is incredibly unjust. Thoughts on whether the community could’ve done anything differently to prevent something like this from happening?
