Has anyone else been thinking about the impact this tragedy had on South Knoxville? Michael Crosby was a well-known figure in our community, working at the KFC on Chapman Highway for years. I can’t help but feel for his family and friends who have to navigate life without him. It's also really unsettling that this happened so close to South Doyle Middle School—kids shouldn’t have to feel unsafe at or near school because of such incidents. What I'm struggling with is understanding how a domestic dispute can escalate to such extreme violence. It’s a sad reminder of how unresolved issues can have devastating consequences and how important it is for communities to support those in volatile situations. Does anyone know if there have been more community resources put in place since then to address these kinds of disputes before they turn violent? We can’t afford to lose more lives like we lost Michael.
