I've been following Taren Lyles' case closely, and while the arrest of Mark Ellis brings a measure of relief, I can't help but think about the impact this has on her children. Those two little ones were in the car when their world was shattered; it's hard to fathom the trauma they might face growing up. I truly hope they're receiving the support and care they need from family and community as they move forward without their mom. It’s crucial that we as a community recognize the long-term effects violence has not just on victims, but on their loved ones, especially young children who are left to deal with the aftermath. Let's keep Taren's family in our thoughts as they navigate this incredibly painful time, and maybe even consider supporting their fundraising efforts if you're able to.
