Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on Mount Rainier during the weekend Zachary Weston went missing? Extreme weather can be unpredictable around that area, especially at higher elevations. It's possible that sudden changes could have played a part in his disappearance. I wonder if search and rescue teams took weather patterns into account when they initially started looking for him. Maybe severe weather limited visibility or even caused dangerous conditions that might not have been apparent days later. Just something to consider, given how complex the terrain is around Wapowety Cleaver.

Has anyone else come across the theory that Zachary might have tried a less traveled path before he disappeared? It’s really puzzling how an experienced hiker like him could just vanish without a trace on such a well-trodden route. I was reading up on the Snow Lake area, and I found out that there are several unofficial trails near the Comet Falls trailhead. I wonder if Zachary could have been exploring one of these lesser-known paths out of curiosity. Given his adventurous nature and how familiar he’d become with the park, maybe he was trying to chart a new course or find a secluded spot? It's strange how his tracks just ended so abruptly on the Wapowety Cleaver. Such a tough area to search thoroughly, I can’t even imagine how hard this has been for his family and the rescue teams. Curious if anyone else has thoughts on this?
