Hey everyone, I've been following Joanie Hendricks' case like many of you, and can't help but think about the numbers mentioned during Brandon's sentencing. A total of 50 years seems like a long time, but does it really measure up to taking a life and the trauma inflicted on young Nolan? I can't imagine what that little guy is going through after witnessing something so awful. It's tough to find justice in situations like these when nothing can truly bring Joanie back. My heart goes out to Joanie's mom, Gina, and her sister Amanda too, who have been so strong in the face of everything. I hope they find some peace and continue to be pillars of strength for Nolan. We need to keep speaking up and shining a light on domestic violence so tragedies like this can be prevented in the future. Would love to hear your thoughts on the sentencing and what more can be done to support Joanie's family during this time.

Has anyone noticed how active Joanie was in her church and community? It's clear she was a cherished member of Friendship Baptist Church and was really involved with the Married Couples Sunday school class. It's so hard to imagine the void her absence must have left in that group. From what I've heard, she seemed like the kind of person who was always there to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. I can't even fathom the shock they're going through, having lost someone so special in such a tragic way. It just goes to show that domestic violence can be lurking where you'd least expect it, even in seemingly happy places. My heart truly goes out to everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Joanie's son, Nolan, in all of this. It must be incredibly difficult for him to navigate life after witnessing such a traumatic event at such a young age. I just can’t imagine what it must be like for him to lose his mother in such a tragic way and then have his world turned upside down. Having to confront his father during the sentencing must have taken immense courage; he's only a child. I hope he has a strong support system around him to help him process everything and find some sense of normalcy amidst the chaos. Sending strength to Nolan and the rest of Joanie's family during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
