I was reading through some old articles about Johnny Hamlett’s case and stumbled upon a tiny detail that I haven’t seen discussed much here. It seems that Johnny was actually substituting for another welder on a big project at the time. People who knew Johnny say he was the kind of friend and coworker who would always step in to lend a hand, no questions asked. It’s just so tragic how someone who was always eager to help ended up in such a devastating situation. I can't stop thinking about how his kindness might have indirectly played a role in him being home at the time of the robbery attempt. Does anyone else think this should matter in court proceedings, perhaps showing his character, even though it doesn’t change the outcome? I hope his family finds some peace knowing how much he was loved and appreciated by those around him.
