I was reading up on the Darius Michael Reese Bishop case out of McMinnville, and something that's been sticking with me is the role of the community in dealing with such a traumatic event. It must have been incredibly unsettling for Bishop’s neighbors on Lind Street—knowing such violence could erupt so suddenly in what’s generally a peaceful area. The shock and fear might still linger in the community, affecting how people feel in their own homes. Also, as someone who has kept up with similar cases, I can’t help but think about the importance of community support, not just for the victims' family but for all neighbors involved, especially when something of this magnitude occurs. Does anyone from the area know if there have been any community events or gatherings to help people process this tragedy? It seems essential for healing, especially in smaller communities.
