Has anyone else followed Kevin Smith's case? It’s been over six years, and it’s just so baffling that it’s still unsolved. It's frustrating to think of all the families in Kansas City, including Kevin's, who are waiting for answers. I’ve read that the Kansas City Police Department is really pushing for anything that helps, including the use of newer forensic techniques. What more can be done when the initial leads have gone cold? It makes you wonder about the tangible role the community can play. If anyone around that area knows something, even the smallest detail can make a massive difference. I really hope the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Stoppers tip line gets more traction. Sending support to anyone out there grieving these senseless losses and holding out hope for justice, even after all this time.

I've been thinking a lot about the number of unsolved cases in Kansas City, especially considering the impact it has on families and communities. Kevin Smith's murder particularly stands out. He was just one among many who tragically lost their lives in 2017. It's hard to imagine the pain his family must feel, not having answers or any closure after all these years. What's really disheartening is how this case, like so many others, seems to have hit a standstill. It's reassuring to know that the Kansas City Police Department is still dedicating resources to these cases, but why do leads go cold so often? Is it a lack of witnesses willing to come forward, the sheer volume of cases, or something else? I find it promising that the KC Metropolitan Crime Stoppers is involved, offering rewards and anonymity for tips. Their work is hugely important, but I wonder if there's more the community can do to foster an environment where people feel safe to speak up. What are your thoughts on how community engagement could be improved for Kevin's case and others like it? I really hope that one day soon, Kevin's family—and all families going through this—get the justice and peace they deserve.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following Kevin Smith’s unsolved case for a while and wanted to bring attention to an aspect we don’t talk about enough—the role that Kevin’s friends and family can play in keeping his case in the public eye. I can’t imagine what it’s like for them, living with unanswered questions and the pain of losing someone in such a tragic way. It’s important that we support them not only emotionally but also in their efforts to seek justice for Kevin. Staying vocal and involved can help remind law enforcement that people still care and want answers. Do any of you have ideas on how we can help amplify the case, perhaps through social media or local events? Building awareness and keeping community discussions active might be key. Let’s stand with Kevin’s family and friends to hopefully bring them some closure.
