I’ve been following the Rickey Scott case closely and just can't stop thinking about the role of campus safety in all this. It's devastating to see how a lapse in judgment and a series of unfortunate events led to such a tragic loss. From what I've read, TSU has implemented a safety enhancement plan since the incident, which made me wonder about what these plans typically involve. I think it's crucial that universities take more proactive measures to ensure student safety, especially with incidents involving firearms. It seems like there could be more education around the differences between real firearms and replicas to avoid such fatal misunderstandings. My heart goes out to Rickey’s family and friends, and I hope the steps being taken can help prevent another tragedy like this. If anyone is familiar with these types of safety protocols at other universities, I'd love to hear more about them.

Has anyone else been following the Rickey Scott case at TSU? It's so unbelievably tragic that a young life was cut short like this. I can't stop thinking about how a college dorm, a place of learning and growth, turned into the scene of such a devastating incident. It’s unsettling to think about how quickly things escalated from what was thought to be harmless horseplay. I read that the gun was never found, which raises so many questions. How does a weapon just disappear on a college campus? Was it taken by someone else, or did it somehow get hidden or discarded before law enforcement arrived? It's concerning that the object at the heart of this tragedy is still missing—it leaves open the possibility that it could still pose a threat. My heart goes out to Rickey's family and friends, and I hope they find some form of closure eventually. The campus community does seem to be coming together to mourn and support each other, which is comforting in the middle of all this sorrow. I hope the changes TSU plans to implement make a real difference going forward. Stay safe, everyone.
